Isn't grandma great she feeds us chocolate cake

We are having a grandson weekend. Last night we went to Cafe Trang then we came home and watched Unstoppable it's a great movie. Went to bed late. It's was fun. Then like any good grandmother would do I make my grandsons chocolate cake for breakfast. Yum Yum.

wishing for spring

I am soooo ready for spring. I know i shouldn't complain, but I'm ready for flowers, sun, and being outside.

So I thought I would make something that sort of reminds me of spring time. I watched heidi swapp last night on the house of three webshow, and she made the cutest book. It gave me inspiration so I made this cute book for some special girl I know. And I made two little books as well.  Here's to spring time.

ANOTHER PILLOW

I was watching Good Things Utah and saw a  pillow like this  being made. I'm really into pillows lately. I loved it, so I thought I would try it.Not bad for my first try. If you would like to make one, go to her website, its called V and Co. I believe her name is Vanessa Christenson. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. 

magnet and chalkboard

This was something I was going to start on a year ago. [oh how time flies]
You need:
sheet metal {you can get at any home improvement center}
chalkboard paint
fabric
ribbon

Cut sheet metal to the size you want,  paint with chalkboard paint, I used four coats. Let dry, then I put a strip of fabric about 2" wide around the outside{I used hot glue}. Pre drill holes in top for your ribbon. Then pull your ribbon through the back and tie in a knot. Embellish if you want. It was fun to make and very easy.

more felt different color

Another pillow, and pin cushion. This cream pillow is a gift.  I hope she likes it. The pin cushion was  a idea that I saw online somewhere.[ I think Martha Stewart].... not quite like theirs.  They are fun and easy to make.  It keeps me out of trouble.

This is a great store. They have a very knowledgeable staff, who are friendly and will help you find whatever your looking for. It's a beautiful store with  lots of clothes and accessories

handbag

I have always wanted to make a handbag.  I saw this one on the diy dish, [can you tell I like their blog] and decided to try it.  It was not as hard as  I thought it would be. A little challenging  at times but pretty easy. Anyhow what do you think?  

Chocolate and Buttercream

What is it about february that makes me think of CHOCOLATE AND BUTTERCREAM FROSTING.
That's all I can think about. I want to cook with it, eat it, and if I'm not doing that, I'm reading recipes about it. And here's the kicker I'm on a diet. LIFE IS CRUEL. Oh well here's to the rest of you who can enjoy, think of me while your indulging.
