New house in st george

If someone would've told me a year ago that I would be getting a new house in St. George I would've thought they were crazy. But it happened we did, we have a new house and I am so excited and I can't wait to go down and start spending some time there. it's going to be so much fun.

St. George is a beautiful area and we love it, it happened really fast and we're so excited!  here is  a few pictures of it.

Summer

Well summer is officially here. 103 degrees yesterday and feels about that today. All I can say is it's a lot better than being cold! I've had a busy summer so far, my granddaughter came for two weeks and we had a great time! My son (her dad), daughter and grandson and me took her home. We stayed overnight in manitou springs and had a good time! What a fun town. Then we went into Loveland and took in the antique stores, wish we had more time to spend there, as well as money! Maybe next time.
We have a lot in store for the next couple of months,lots to do and see.
 I have finally got around to sanding my kitchen table, been going to do it for over a year, but various things came up. It's turning out better than I expected. I just need to decide whether to stain it, paint it or just put varnish on it. It's good to be blogging again. Hope to do better in the future.

fall

Wow it's been a long time since I've blogged. I had a great summer. And a busy summer. Where does the time go? It's been a pretty fall, I'm not quite ready for winter yet,but from the looks of today it's not far off.  I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving. I so enjoy having my family together.  l love to cook for thanksgiving,to me it is the perfect start for the holidays. I can't believe it's been almost a year since my mom died. I miss her everyday. Here are a few pictures of my grandkids, what a joy they are to me . I feel so blessed to have them in my life.

I feel so blessed to be able to have my grandchildren close by this week. All of the grandchildren live close,except one. Sofia is here for two to three weeks. We are having a good time. We have been shopping, crafting, eating, baking and having fun! She loves it because she gets to spend time with her cousins and brother. There is nothing more precious than my grandchildren. I'm so lucky!!!!

My blinged out Pallet Clock

Here is the clock that I made for my new craft shed. I can finally say that my shed is about 99% done!!! Yeh! I'm going to post some pictures of the final product real soon.

I made this clock from some pallets. I found these cool gears in Moab.I make the other gears with my big shot(Tim Holtz dies) I'm making another one right now it's, more girlie than this one. When I get it done i will post it.

Moab and Shed

We went to Moab last week and it was awesome. The weather was perfect, the scenery was simply beautiful. And the camp ground was so nice. We stay at the Portal. It is such a great place, nice and clean with great views. We went four-wheeling to a few places we hadn't seen before, it was so fun. We went to poison spider {talk about heart pumping} and Gemini bridges, it was so pretty. On Mother's Day we heading up the river to Red Cliff Lodge for dinner. What a wonderful place to eat, it is so beautiful. We ate outside on the deck, what a day. While at red cliffs we went to Castle Creek Winery. I love it there. Good Wine and fun gifts. We bought a wine barrel there for our patio too.

I went to Las Vegas last weekend with my daughter and her kids to watch my granddaughter play soccer. It was so nice, the weather was perfect. It was about 85 degrees. Here are a couple of pictures of my cute grandkids and daughter. Lets just hope the weather here in Utah gets nice soon!

My son Terry gave me some wood crates. I have made quite a few things with them. It's been fun to take them apart and see what to do with them. Also heres a couple of pictures of my son Jason spray painting some funnels that he is making into lights for my Shed.{Really cool lights}. Also my grandson [his son] is helping him. Can't wait until the shed is done. And I'm betting my son will too.

Shed part 3

 

My Shed is coming along. My son has got the roof all done.  He just has to put the trim on it. It looks so good. He decided to put cedar underneath the loft floor and it looks beautiful. We bought a wood planer so we could plane the cedar so it would be smooth, it makes the cedar look gorgeous! It's a lot of work for him. But he is a true craftsman. I am very proud of him.  I also found some really cool wine barrels at a local brewery, and they are going to be the ends of my work table. It's going to be so awesome.
