Moab

We just got back from Moab. We love it there. So much to do in town. We went four wheeling and hiking, and ate at many of the restauants they were all good but I love Pasta Jays the most. We have never gone to Fisher Towers before, and we were blown away with it's beauty. We also went to Dead Horse Point and was equally blown away with its beauty. We love to go to Red Cliffs Lodge, to the winery there, they have a really great gift shop and the best wine, it is more of a dessert wine, but very very good also love all their wine. We ate lunch there it is was amazing. Can't wait to go back!!

One day last week I  woke up and saw the sky. It was truly awesome. I jumped out of bed and took this picture from my bedroom window. It was about 6:15 a.m. in the morning. Simply beautiful!!!!

We went to Mexico for our anniversary and it was so wonderful. We stayed at a great resort called Eldorado Royale in a Casita The service there was so good I couldn't believe it. The room was so nice,it even had an outdoor shower.[which I used everyday]. The Food was unbelievable. Even on the beach they would bring around coconut ice cream and popsicles. We had a huge deck with a big day bed and table and chairs. On the beach we had ton of covered cabanas and lounge chairs as well. We hated to come home. Oh the best part was the weather  around 80 to 85 degrees, perfect for us. This is a trip I would love to take again.

Leather Book Cover and Leather Roses

I've really enjoy working with leather lately. My sister is having a birthday soon so I wanted to make her something different so I decided to make her a book. I just used a pre made book that I got at Michaels and cover it with leather. I put a strip of a darker leather on the spine that I embossed on my big shot, I tied a pretty bow around it, and made three leather roses that I glued on. I hope she likes it.

My friend is becoming a grandma for the first time. So I wanted to make her a mini photo book.  She is going to have a granddaughter. So I wanted it to look really girly. So I put four rows of pink ruffled ribbon on it, and a row of ribbon roses on top, and lots of different ribbon tied to the side.  So cute!

Valentines Decorations and Magnets and Magnet Boards

I usually don't do much decorating for valentines day but this year I decided to make some things for Valentines. I took Marge Romney Aslett's class Love Love Love online and it was great.  She had tons of really cute ideas for valentines day. So that's what gave me my inspiration. I even Made my Mom some things for her place. So I was kinda in a crafty mood so I decided to make some magnet boards with some frames I picked up at a thrift store. Then I decided to make magnets to go on them. I love the way they turned out.

birthday presents

I have two granddaughters and both of their birthdays are in January so I made them both a gift. For my granddaughter turning 8, I made her a special box to keep all her jewelry or little stuff in. For my granddaughter who turned 13, I made her a book and a box to keep it in. I'm so grateful to have both of these wonderful girls in my life. It's fun to be able to make girly things. Happy Birthday Bella and Sofia. I love you both.
