We took a little trip to see our son in Manitou Springs Colorado. It's a cute little town just below Pike's peak. We had his kids with us as well. We had a great time. The town is full of great food, hiking, and fun places to see like Garden of the gods [it reminds me of moab just a little smaller] , and the seven falls, as well as a haunted castle. It also has tons of antique shops too.

We remodeled our kitchen around a year ago. And this china hutch was in there. We built in a pantry so I didn't need it anymore {and I didn't like the style of it either}. So I took off the big doors and side glass panels, then I painted it a butter yellow color and put a brown glaze over the top. It now lives down stairs in the guest bedroom. I like it a lot better this way.

It's looking more like summer

Finally it's starting to feel a little like summer. It's been a cold, dark, dreary ,and very long winter. It does my heart good to see flowers and my grandkids having fun outside. Here's to more days like this.

Moab, utah

                                           

We went to moab for the weekend. We wanted to try out my husband's new Jeep. We had a great time. It's a fun town with tons to do. We stayed at a great rv park, went to an art festival, and ate wonderful food. Plus the weather was really nice 85 to 90 degrees all weekend. We didn't want to leave. A few pictures of the trip.

New Headboard

I've been working on my guest room on and off for a couple of months now.  I painted the walls and made a new headboard for the bed. It turned out pretty good. Here is a couple of pictures of it so far.

A very cute preschooler

My very handsome little grandson had a school program last week. He did so good. He sang, did all the hand movements and even held a little girls hand.  He was so happy to see his mom, sister, and grammie there. We are all so proud of him. I'm so lucky to be able to go to his programs. He's such a joy to be around. Thank goodness for grandchildren!!!

We went on vacation with my brother and his wife, in our motorhomes. We decided to go explore Napa

Valley and San Francisco so we rented a car. So my brother has a scooter that he always takes with him when he's in his motorhome. And that's what they rode on to pick up the car. They had a few curious looks on the way!!!
